Welcome to the Liverpool Black History Month Group's
website
The theme for this the Bicentenary 200th Year Anniversary of the Abolition
of the Slave Trade in Britain is "Learning from the Past, Shaping
the Future Together".
The Liverpool Black History Month Group aims to recognise, promote,
and celebrate the history, cultural heritage and achievements of individuals
and organisations from Liverpool's black and racial minority communities.
These communities have been present in Liverpool for over 300 years
and have contributed immensely to the City's economic and social culture.
These pages are packed with information about our work and plans. Please
join in and be part of our promotion of Liverpool's rich black heritage.
