July 4th 2007 BHM Youth Conference "The youth conference in the Kuumba Imani center was really empowering and has inspired me as a young person to try and make a difference. I was thinking about maybe organising an event to be included in the black history month events. Possibly getting together youths like myself, poets and young up and coming artists, who would write lyrics and poems to be performed, or express their feelings through dance. Maybe even include some real life experiences and how to overcome the problems by talking about them. It's really just to make people more aware and I'm sure that a lot of people would like to contribute."
